From : Via public transportation: The M60 bus is the cheapest way (1.50 each way) to travel to and from Manhattan. The M60 travels between 106th Street and Broadway in Manhattan. Travel time is approximitely 60 minutes. The M60 connects with other subway and bus routes on it's way to Manhattan. Transfers are free if you use a NYC Transit MetroCard. Via commercial shuttle or Taxi: The Gray Line Airport Shuttle, Super Shuttle and Carey Airport Express provides shuttle bus service to Manhattan for approximately 15 and travel time is 30 - 60 minutes. Taxi service to Manhattan costs about 25 - 30 with tolls and tip, depending upon your destination.
From : Via public transportation: Public transportation is available to and from Manhattan. The cost each way is 1.50 on the subway. Take the free shuttle bus (which operates 24 hours) to the Howard Beach/JFK Airport subway station. From there take the "A" train to Manhattan. The trip to lower Manhattan takes approximitely 60 - 70 minutes. Via commercial shuttle or Taxi: Gray Line Airport Shuttle provides bus service to most major Manhattan hotels and costs approximately 15 each way. Carey Airport Express goes to Port Authority and Grand Central Terminals. The one-way fare costs 13 and the trip takes 60 - 90 minutes. Super Shuttle provides door-to-door service for 15. Taxi service costs a flat rate of 30 to any Manhattan destination, not including tolls (4) or tip (10%).
